SUMMER VACATION WITH SCHOOL AGED
1. Evaluate your group. What is the ages, ability level and what are the interests.
2. Remind yourself you are not responsible for a child’s entertainment. If they are bored, make them responsible for changing it. Have them put a list together that make look like this:
1. Game days: Pay attention to what games they like and then purchase it.
2. Shooting Hoops: Children can bring their own basketballs. Be clear that each child is responsible for host or damaged items and let them bring their stuff to practice their skills.
3. Yard work: Planting and watering & caring for the yard teaches children responsible.
4. Events: A country western rodeo day or a carnival are fun events to plan. Make props and games. Take pictures of whatever event you have so you can get some marketing value out of it. Talk to your salesperson at Roxy’s about our activity packets to go with these special events.
5.
6. Park & recs: Check on swimming lessons. Can the children ride their bikes to other park functions? Do they have scheduled Summer activities?
