RING AROUND THE PARACHUTE

Have one child sit on the floor under the parachute. The other children circling around while lifting the parachute up and down on the child under it.

and its flying through the air.
Sing this song while lifting the parachute up and down. Let go or stand and bounce the item on the top of the parachute.
UP , UP IT GOES
Select any of the items listed below and have the children sit or stand and bounce the item on the top of the parachute.

Pom Poms Jingle Bells Paper Snowflakes
Beach Balls Stuffed Animals Fall leaves
· Learn colors by identifying the colors on the parachute.
· Sit on parachute for circle or story time.
· Drape over a small table to make a tent.
· Attach to wall for a bright wall hanging when not in use
BLOOMING FLOWERS OR COCOON
Have one child sit in the middle and the other children circle around until the one in the middle is wrapped up. Then circle back in the opposite direction and watch the flower bloom or the cocoon open up. Have the child in the middle pretend they are the flower or cocoon.
